2020 has been a little different than previous Winter seasons when it comes to trend forecasting… The lockdown period of COVID-19 meant that there was no “street-style” fashion on the ground nor was their high-end editorial or runway looks to draw inspiration from.

This Winter season 2020 see the HUGE return of 90s vibes and plenty of nostalgic looks from some iconic celebs.

Face framing feature colours (made famous by Jennifer Aniston during the “Friends” era) are back with a slightly softer twist. The roots have soft micro foils and the feature strands get thicker towards the mid-lengths and ends.

For the client who loves a high fashion colour trend, this same look is exaggerated with a 'pop' of colour using pastel toners or feature pieces.

Other notable trends include the featured white flashes of your natural silver. Depending on where your silver clusters are placed, these can become a highlight feature. Many clients are also opting for the softer grey coverage options where regrowth isn’t as harsh and coverage is more translucent. A more natural take on modern hair colour services.

We couldn’t go past mentioning the return of rich coppers with deep goldenred reflects. Winter is the perfect time to embrace vibrant colours when your skin is cooler in tone and a little less sun-kissed. Think Julianne Moore, Isla Fischer and Christina Hendricks.
