This week David Jones debuted their Wonderworld Spring/Summer 2022 Collection, Nathan Yazbek participated on the Aveda Style Team working back stage for the hair for the show. Held at level 8 of the David Jones’ Elizabeth Street Flagship store in Sydney, the launch was a testament to the natural wonders of the world, a theme created in the hair looks as complemented by the otherworldly runway set.

Starting with dry hair, apply generous amounts of Nutriplenish Styling Treatment Foam to saturate hair, using fingers to create separation and texture. Comb product through hair and gently blow dry hair to 50 per cent. The Nutriplenish Styling Treatment Foam adds natural shine, and 2 body, and delivers a flake-free soft hold.
For frizz-prone and coarse hair, use Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother from lengths to ends of hair. This lightweight styling primer provides heat protection and frizz defense while protecting against humidity.
To create matte-sheen finish for hair, pump generous amounts of the Botanical Repair Strengthening Overnight Serum into the palms. Emulsifying the product in your palms, paint the product on the lengths and ends of the hair with an open palm, not fingers, to ensure the natural texture is maintained. The Botanical Repair Strengthening Overnight Serum will bring split ends back together reducing their appearance while adding a matte-sheen finish.
To create more definition and personalisation through the hairline and lengths of the hair, warm an almond-sized amount of Control Paste in palms before applying it to the hair using fingers. The Control Paste is a versatile product that provides a medium hold and pliable texture with a smooth matte finish.
Once the hair is styled, lock the finished look in place with Control Force firm hold hair spray. Create more lift at the root area by raking with fingers if required. This hairspray won’t leave hair feeling crunchy or stiff and has a net-zero environmental impact.
