Salon Yazbek closed its doors this morning and teamed up with Oz Harvest to prepare and cook a hot BBQ breakfast for the local homeless and disadvantaged people in the Redfern Area. OzHarvest is a charitable organisation who rescue quality excess food from commercial outlets that would otherwise go to waste. Salon Yazbek prepared and served a hot breakfast inside the St Vincent’s De Paul Church. It was a great opportunity for the team to meet, eat and connect with the disadvantaged, many of whom suffer in isolation. We handed out samples of Aveda shampoo, conditioners and body moisturisers to a lively gathering of 50+ local men, women and children. The hot breakfast and products were well received and appreciated as many of them struggle to get by. It was an amazing opportunity for Salon Yazbek to give back to the community and it was remarkable how just giving a listening ear can make all the difference in someone’s day.
